Research Use Policy

Every product on this site is sold for laboratory research. This page sets out what that means and what we ask of you. Checkout asks you to tick an acknowledgement of it, and an order cannot be placed without it.
1. What we sell
- Our products are sold for laboratory research and analytical purposes only.
- They are not sold as medicines, dietary supplements, food or cosmetics, and they are not for human or animal consumption.
- Most of them are not approved medicines in New Zealand or anywhere else. Where a compound shares its name with an approved medicine, what we sell is not that medicine and is not interchangeable with it.
2. No advice on use
- We do not give guidance on dosing, preparation, administration or use, and our team will not answer questions of that kind.
- Nothing on this site is a claim about what any product does. Our reference pages describe what a compound is: its structure, its history and its regulatory status.
- A certificate of analysis reports identity and purity for a batch. It is not a statement that a product is safe or suitable for any use.
3. Your responsibilities
- You must be 18 or older to order.
- You are responsible for storing, handling and using the products safely, and in line with the law that applies to you, including New Zealand’s Medicines Act 1981.
- You must not resell or supply the products to anyone for human or animal consumption.
- To the extent the law allows, responsibility for how the products are used after delivery rests with you, not with Vero Lab.
4. Orders we may refuse
We may refuse or cancel an order, and refund anything paid, if we have reason to believe a product is intended for human or animal use, if the order breaks this policy, or if we cannot lawfully supply it.
5. Your rights
Nothing in this policy takes away rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other New Zealand law that cannot be excluded. Our Terms of Sale cover payment, delivery and returns.
