Verifying a laboratory report
A certificate published by a supplier is the supplier’s word for it. The same certificate opened on the laboratory’s own site is not. Here is the difference and how to get from one to the other.
Why the check exists
A PDF is trivially easy to edit. A percentage on a product page is easier still. Analytical laboratories know this, so most issue reports carrying a reference number or verification key that can be looked up against their own records. The check takes about a minute and it is the only step that converts a published certificate from a claim into evidence.
The check, step by step
- Find the report’s verification key or task number on the certificate.
- Go to the issuing laboratory’s own website — typed in directly, not through a link the supplier controls.
- Enter the key in their verification tool.
- Compare the laboratory’s copy against the supplier’s, field by field.
What should match, exactly
- Task or report number — the primary key for the whole record.
- Client name — who commissioned the test.
- Sample name — the compound and strength submitted.
- Purity figure — to the same decimal place.
- Content figure, where the report gives one.
- Date of the report.
If any of those differ, the laboratory’s copy is the real one. Not the supplier’s, and not the one that happens to be more flattering.
Reading the result honestly
A verified report proves the laboratory tested that sample and got that result. It does not by itself prove your vial came from that batch — that link is the batch number, which is frequently blank. A supplier who is straight about that gap is telling you more than one who papers over it.
Ours, with the keys
The reports we hold are published in full. Where the issuing laboratory runs a public lookup, the key is here and the check above works; where it does not, that is said on the certificate rather than glossed over:
-
Retatrutide 20 mg
— task 169705,
99.887% purity, key
V3ABJMZCLEX4(open the report) -
GHK-Cu 100 mg
— task 169704,
99.607% purity, key
3PSMTTL86LXL(open the report) -
MOTS-c 10 mg
— task PP260804-24,
98.8% purity, key
If the laboratory’s copy ever disagrees with ours, believe theirs and tell us.
